Safe Space Policy for #FemDevsMeetup Events
#FemDevsMeetup events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are only appropriate for educational or scientific purposes, can only be shown with a clear disclaimer prior and need to be approved by the event organiser beforehand. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event [without a refund] at the discretion of the conference organisers.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the venue. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an organiser or volunteer immediately.
The staff will be happy to help participants contact security or police, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at all our venues and social events.
